Terms

Terms of service

The rules for using OpticArchery, in plain language. By installing OpticArchery or buying a subscription, you agree to these terms.

The short version: the free version costs nothing. A subscription costs 12 euro a month or 99 euro a year, VAT included, and covers one computer. You can cancel any time and keep everything until the end of the period you paid for. Not happy? Ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first payment.

1. Who we are

OpticArchery is made by Daan Van Gijsegem, a sole trader based in Antwerp, Belgium, enterprise and VAT number BE 1035.264.667 ("we", "us"). You can reach us at contact@opticsystems.be.

2. What these terms cover

These terms cover the OpticArchery software, the free version, and an OpticArchery subscription. Paying for a subscription happens through Creem, which has its own terms for the purchase (see section 4).

3. The free version

You may download OpticArchery and use the free version on as many computers as you like, at no cost. The free version includes live coaching and the instant replay. Saving shots, your performance history and reports, rule tuning and archer profiles need a subscription. We may change what the free version includes in future versions.

4. Buying a subscription

  • Creem is the seller. Subscriptions are sold by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia), our merchant of record. Creem takes the payment, charges the right VAT, sends your receipt and invoice, and its Buyer Terms apply to the purchase. If those terms and ours disagree about the purchase, Creem's Buyer Terms apply.
  • Plans. Monthly (12 euro per month) or yearly (99 euro per year). Prices include VAT. The checkout shows the exact amount before you pay.
  • Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, until you cancel.
  • Price changes. If we change the price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you. It applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then if you don't agree.

5. Your license

  • While your subscription is active, you may use the full version of OpticArchery on one computer at a time, to train yourself and to coach other archers.
  • To move to another computer, deactivate the old one in the app (SETTINGS, then Licence, then Deactivate this computer) and activate the new one with the same key. If the old computer is broken or gone, email us and we'll release it.
  • Your license key is personal. Don't share it, sell it or publish it.
  • Don't copy OpticArchery to give to others, try to get around the license check, or take the software apart to copy how it works, except where the law allows it.
  • OpticArchery and everything in it remain ours. A subscription gives you the right to use it, not ownership of it.

6. Going online to check your subscription

OpticArchery works offline. To keep your subscription up to date, it checks your subscription with our license service whenever your computer is online. If it hasn't been able to check for 30 days, it asks you to connect; until it can check again, saving and rule tuning pause. Live coaching and the instant replay keep working either way.

7. Canceling

  • You can cancel any time, without giving a reason. Sign in at creem.io/my-orders with the email you used to subscribe, or use the link in your receipt.
  • After canceling you are not charged again, and you keep the full version until the end of the period you already paid for. Then OpticArchery continues as the free version.
  • Everything you recorded stays on your computer. You can still open and review your earlier sessions. Exporting PDF reports needs a subscription.

8. Refunds

  • 14 days on your first payment. If OpticArchery isn't for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll arrange a full refund through Creem. No questions asked.
  • Renewals are not refunded, but you can cancel any time to stop the next one.
  • After a refund, your subscription ends straight away and OpticArchery continues as the free version.
  • At checkout you agree that your subscription starts immediately. Under EU law, that means the legal 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content no longer applies. Our 14-day refund above applies anyway.
  • If something went wrong with a payment, please contact us before asking your bank to reverse it. We'll sort it out.

9. Updates

New versions of OpticArchery are included while your subscription is active. The free version can be updated too. We keep improving the app, so features may change, but we won't remove the main things a subscription is for (saving your shots, your performance history and PDF reports, rule tuning and archer profiles) during a period you have already paid for.

10. Training safely

Archery has real risks. Always follow the safety rules of your club and range, and set up your camera and computer where they can't be hit and don't get in anyone's way. OpticArchery gives feedback on your form. It doesn't judge whether a situation is safe, and it doesn't replace a qualified coach.

11. What we can and can't promise

  • We work hard to make OpticArchery accurate and reliable, and we fix problems you report. But it's software that reads posture from a camera: it can make mistakes, and how well it works depends on your camera, light and computer. We can't promise particular results, such as higher scores.
  • As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.

12. Ending your access

If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by sharing or selling license keys, we may end your subscription and deactivate your license. If we end it for another reason, we refund the unused part of your current period.

13. Your data

How we handle your data is explained in our privacy notice. In short: your shots and videos stay on your own computer.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features. For important changes we tell subscribers by email at least 30 days in advance. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change applies to you.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of your own country's consumer laws. If there's a problem, please email us first: most things are solved quickly that way. For the purchase itself, Creem's Buyer Terms say which rules and dispute options apply.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms, your subscription or a refund: contact@opticsystems.be. We answer within 3 business days.
